How is PAK-PAVE™ Roads made with cups?

STEP 1:

Cups are collected by Simply Cups

Cups such as coffee cups, takeaway soft drink cups, takeaway ice-cream and gelato cups and other paper cups are collected by Simply Cups.

STEP 2:

Shredded cups processing

Cups are processed and shredded to create a CLESmix. CLESmix is then transformed into PAK-PAVE™ Fibre which present the cups in an acceptable for to be used in the roads.

STEP 3:

PAK-PAVE™ Roads is created

PAK-PAVE™ Fibre is combined with rocks, sand and bitumen to create PAK-PAVE™ Roads, Australia’s first road made with recycled coffee cups.
